004

Good advice is wise to follow.

Went to the area around Kuramae today and decided to walk to something far away in the distant sky.
the new skytree building going up is supposed to be open next year.
Its a radiotower which is not difficult to understand if you see how they use cellphones here.

Probably the time has come to upload my ugly face here for the first time... the moment where everybody's been waiting for :p

(skytree in the distant background, i was walking for 20 minutes already)

hope you enjoyed that. :D

ask Andy for the nice nickname this building got... right? ;)
Philip Starck, you've done it again... its been there for quite a while, but i doubt that it will get to look any better..

Still on the way to the skytree walking in the narrow streets i saw this man having lunch.
He called me in, and showed me what he was working on.
He's a painter and artworking the walls of this public bathhouse.

Finaly got to the skytree... and then headed back to the other side of those 2 rivers i crossed...

i'm guessing these are 17-year old Geta-feet.

lunchtime - yakitori

streetfestival

inside Ueno park

no driver and running engine, that would only work in Japan.

gaming near Ueno station, these three boldhead students needed to present their ID before being allowed to play.

One empty seat so i gave it a try... ended up 3th against these "pro's"

purple S2000 Honda with neon glow and giant wing + noise

the day never seems to stop.

Decided to take a breath at Tochomae for some night pictures.

Can you see i woke up early again...
well here is news, the day didn't end yet...

Next stop - Lady Day Jazzclub
entrance fee: 2000 Yen
20m² of pure musical joy and unexpected social contact.
Live Jazz, Japanese voice.

26th July another live concert before comming back to Belgium (21:00 + warm sake)
Met some awsome people there, 2 actors, 2 Jazz artists, 1 architect and a bartender.
3 of them will be back there on the 26th.

the female singer gave me a little present before they closed down the club for the night.
So, that was that for this day.
tired but satisfied i went back to the cozy futon that was provided for me :)
