012

first thing in the morning, wake up.
next up, visit to the Higashi-Honganji temple.

one thing people everywhere have in common is they always seem to think you're a freak when you take 20 pictures of a building detail...
:D

and yes, Japanese people even think of others who might be interested on HOW it's build...

after collecting a few kilowatt of solar energy at this temple i went to look for some refreshment in the Shosei-en garden.
An amazing thing about all these things to see here is that an entrance fee is rarely required.
The garden entrance was just 500 Yen, something like 5 euro,
and considering the amount of structures and the size of the garden the 500 yen is a little price to pay.

Temperatures are still high, but i just saw the forecast and i think in 2 days there's a chance i'll get some rain.
It feels more then welcome at this time so i'll see when it gets here.
There's been a tyfoon at the south-east of Japan for a few days i've seen on the news and moving towards the asian continent.
Perhaps thats the source for the rain at this time.
in any case, i'll take it as it comes.

I was looking forward to it and the afternoon came fast again. :)
Because i was about to meet Anna Nakamura of Eastern Design Office.
A great opportunity.

A lot of layering for the transition from public to private, with clean and playful lines.

I met Nakamura in the hall of the Kyoto station, from where she took me on a trip to visit some projects in the Kyoto area.

A new project recently finished
(wooden structure)
This picture isn't good, i tried to paste 2 horizontal shots together so it changed the perspective.

Slit Court

after visiting these projects, she guided me to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, most of you will know it from these gates.
i'll try to go back there for checking the half hour route through these gates...

after thanking Anna for this great tour of projects and the chance to meet and talk with her, i made my way back to Kyoto central station.
I'm looking forward to meet her again someday.

Kyoto tower at sundown.

Diner was on the 6th floor in a nice restaurant, a bit higher price, but great sushi.

The presentation was better looking, but i started to eat before i took the picture... :p

returning to the ryokan and i took a shot of the room to show you all.
I didn't turn on the light because i like the atmosphere like this.

To give you an idea about my unproductivity in case of blogging...
An upload like this takes me 2 hours from start to finish, so i hope you can enjoy this.

Greetings and おやすみなさい
