Van Rompuy was on the Japanese news this morning...
with his 'amazing' english skills...

i was surpised by the attention that was given to financial situation within Europe here in Japan.
And from the face of the slideshow assistent they aren't to happy about it either. :)

i found this on youtube btw:

Today, another early morning wake-up adventure day.
For this final day in Kyoto i planned to go see some more temples.

micro-pickupvan

first: Koshoji-temple

use the tools to shape, not to bend

next: Nishi Hongwanji-temple.
this one is still very active with buddhism practicers and is in a big year now and they have celebrations now.
every day 2 celebrations, and each one of them houses a lot of people,
just watch the amount of chairs...

I got some introducing explanations by a priest.

some nice buildings on the way to the next temple.

simply genious way to use this city void.

third and final: Kanchi-in & Toji-temple.

to small for me.

chopstick heaven.. a store packed from floor to ceiling,
all handcrafted and made in Nihon.

tomorrow i'm probably going straight to Tokyo,
unfortunatly this giant bag isn't a good travel mate.
I would have loved to make a few stops on the way back to Tokyo,
but i think i'm going to check out some more area's in/around Tokyo.
